Tuesday was dressing the loom day, and it was the first time Janeen and I used a trapeze and her pocket button got caught in the warp, only a minor setback. So this project is going to be a double weave throw blanket, woven with Jaggerspun Maine Line 2/8 wool Williamsburg blue and Natural colors. At the end of the day the loom is just about ready to weave, just sley the reed and load bobbins. so some practice shots and get to weaving.

I always start planning the next warp but in this case I have a warp in waiting on another loom that is being used at the moment. So I'm planning another warp that I'm going to hand dye for a baby wrap. But today I've been sick with a sinus infection, I hope is better by Friday so I can get up to the guild to get started on the throw and then this weekend dye the warp for the wrap.

I'm very proud of myself for staying motivated to continue weaving and learning more about weaving like this double weave pattern is stepping out of my comfort zone.

You have to be a little warped to weave and I am. Weaving a life.....

Weaving a life...... Life is good....

My first baby wrap was a special order, called Strawberry Lemonade, it was a challenge because I have never woven a baby wrap and never dyed by myself, but have a very happy customer. Will be planning my next baby wrap to have on display at the guild's holiday sale. Getting back into the grove of weaving full time, and I am loving it so much. I love the planning process and see how it evolves into the finished product. Life is good...

The above is the warp I finished today, 5 towels made from 8/2 unmercerized with hand dyed yellow and blue that I did by myself. These will be in the guild's holiday sale too.
